"Amore" is a mare that we have known for a long time now.  Not only is she an extremely quite horse, she has an amazing attitude towards everything.  Toddlers and children of any age are safe and she would definitely be considered a "babysitter."  We breed for great conformation and athleticism, but also personality, and this mare has exactly what we wanted.  Amazingly, after 8 years of not having a foal, at the ripe age of 21 year old, we bred her to AZ Kachina Spirit and she conceived!  We've had high hopes for this baby and we weren't dissappointed when he arrived.  We got a long legged stud colt, with his ornery, but quiet disposition and he will always have a home here at Avila Performance Horses.  The jury is still out on his coloring;  he could go palomino or chesnut, so we are awaiting some warm weather to do some body clipping!  Thank you so much, Jay and Susan, for letting us raise this one last foal from Amore.  Now she can come home to her pastures and have a much deserved retirement!
